I am humbled and elated to be the Principal of Smith STEM School. As many of you may know, I live in Simsbury, Connecticut with my husband Rich, and my dog Penny Lane. I have two daughters. Alexa, who is 23, lives in Florida and Maddie, who is 20, is currently attending college in Providence, Rhode Island.

I truly love this community and now in my fourth year as your Principal my hope is to make a difference in the lives of all of our students. One of our core values is relationships. One of our guiding beliefs is as follows: We believe that the foundation of this community is built upon meaningful relationships relevant and engaging learning and effective communication. Developing strong relationships between teachers, parents and students leads to higher levels of student achievement. It is though these relationships that the true magic of learning can occur.

The responsibility of educating your children is a great one, but together with your support we can meet this challenge with great success! I look forward to partnering up with each and every one of you in creating a learning environment that challenges all of our students and helps them become responsible and caring community members.
